DAVID J & JILL TRACY - Bela Lugosi's Dead (Undead Is Forever)

An exquisite new cinematic interpretation of the Bauhaus classic "Bela Lugosi's Dead" from David J, one of the legendary band’s founding members, with signature post-classical piano from noir chanteuse Jill Tracy.
Featuring an excerpt from Lord Byron’s chilling vampire poem, 'The Giaour'

With Ysanne Spevack on eerie antique autoharp, banshee violin and 'bride of Dracula' backing vocals, Kenny Annis on seismic rumbling contrabass and Randy Odell on ghost whisperer drums, this dark melancholic exploration was recorded live by candlelight in a single take.

Released at 1 minute past the Witching Hour on Halloween 2013.

Bela Lugosi's Dead

 White on white
Translucent
Black cape's back on the rack
Bela Lugosi is dead

The bats have left the bell tower
The victims have been bled
Red velvet lines the black box
Bela Lugosi is dead

Undead undead undead

The virginal brides file past his tomb
Strewn with time's dead flowers
Bereft in deathly bloom
Alone in a darkened room
The count
Bela Lugosi is dead

Undead undead
Undead undead undead

And undead is forever
Undead is forever
Undead is forever and ever and ever and ever and ever ...
Poor Bela
Bela’s undead
Poor Bela
Bela’s undead
Poor Bela
Bela’s undead
Poor Bela
Bela’s undead

And Bela Lugosi sleeps with Sister Morphine
Bela Lugosi sleeps with Sister Morphine
Bela Lugosi sleeps with Sister Morphine
Bela Lugosi sleeps.

Non male questa nuova versione assemblata da uno dei fondatori dei Bauhaus e dalla pianista e cantante noir Jill Tracy

... ma io preferirò sempre la versione originale!
